Goaltren.com - David Silva believes that Manchester City plays the same brilliant football as Barcelona's first Josep Guardiola's care.

Guardiola once brought Barca won the treble for the first time as a manager in the 2008/09 season. At that time the Catalan team showed a game that was so dominant and successfully won the La Liga trophy, Copa del Rey, and Champions League.

Coming to the game against Napoli at San Paolo, the former Valencia midfielder said that the team he is strengthening now has a great chance to achieve the same dominance as Pep's Barca.

"I think we played the best football since I was here and it's similar to Barcelona in 2009. We played beautifully, scored many goals, and created many chances," Silva said according to the Express.
"I think we played really well on all fronts - from goalkeeper to striker we know when to move, you can see that in every game.

Silva has shown a slick game since landing in England in 2010 ago. But the player believes that his game this season has been much improved since his operations are more inclined towards the middle.

"I think it's a great position for me, I love playing in the middle, and making contact with the ball, to create chances you have to get more involved in the game and I'm very happy to play in that position." (exp / rer)
