Alvaro Morata rumours

Goaltren.com - Former assistant coach of Real Madrid who now handles Swansea City, Paul Clement, admitted to not believe the Chelsea fans had doubts the ability of Alvaro Morata at the beginning of the season.

Clement handled Morata at the Bernabeu when at that time the capital club was still cared for by Carlo Ancelotti as head coach.

"Criticism is too quickly directed at him.He just played in two or three games and they immediately said he was not good enough," Clement told Sportsmole.

"They say Costa is better and Alvaro is not the right substitute, but I think everyone should be calm now he has scored and played well and when he missed it all missed him.

Clement insisted that he never doubted Morata would prove his class with Chelsea.

"I often train Morata, because regular players usually spend more time to recover stamina and Morata is more often practice in Madrid," he continued.

"He continues to work hard, and with the playing minutes he gets at big clubs, his level is on the rise, he's fast, good in the air, strong, and knows what it takes to play in big clubs."

"He has already defended Real Madrid and Juventus and is now adapting well at Chelsea."(rep/cip)
